Futebol e gladiadores

Soccer and gladiators

Has anyone who took a look at History as it is told to us realized that nothing has changed in essence, only in image?

A little example: let's compare soccer and gladiator fights?

Apparently, not even in image...

Owning gladiators and renting them was a perfectly legal commercial activity in Rome before christ. I imagine it must be lawful to sell a soccer player today!

Purpose of a fight or a match: entertaining the audience - for entertainment let's understand "diverting attention"?

There were groups and categories of gladiators; there are teams and categories of players!

Freebie: videogames for the two "sports" are available!

Prophecy: within two thousand years, there will be another activity entirely similar to those two, but nearly everyone will find soccer pretty primitive and cruel, won't they? However, almost everyone will accept the great illusion of fun and union that only distances us from love and happiness ...
